So I finally caught the workout bug! Thank GOD. You know when people say, “pictures don’t lie.” Well, that’s the TRUTH because my face is getting a little too chubby for my liking. That being said, I decided to be proactive about my workout regime! Once I get into a routine it doesn’t take much for me to start seeing results, which I can accredit to my fast metabolism. For me, it always comes down to staying consistent. As always, consistency is key!
The last time I can remember really working out diligently was after a bad break up. I was literally mad at the world and channeled all of that energy into working out and staying fit. The Yeezus album singlehandedly got me through my workouts. I was living by this sole idea: the best revenge is a good body. That motivation alone was enough for me to remain on course and ultimately lose 15-20 pounds! My workout routine has remained the same. It’s actually super simplistic. I’ve decided to run three miles once a day, Monday through Friday. I cut out juice and soda for the most part, (WHICH IS REALLY HARD FOR ME) and replaced it with water, seltzer, and green tea. I’m not giving up coffee, that’s a joke.
I’m a huuuuge foodie so it’s really hard for me to cut back but I’ve basically given up on fast food, which hurts my heart. I am not giving up wings or Waffle House, FOH. I just cut back on my portions and toned back my excessive snacking. I don’t necessarily eat a lot but I’m constantly eating.. if that makes sense? Either way, I’m hoping to stay on track for the rest of the semester so my body is summer ready!
I’m constantly obsessing over the Kardashians but I must admit, Khloe’s weight loss journey has been so inspirational! Her consistency and work ethic is so admirable so I guess you can say she’s my thinspiration. I’ll keep you guys updated on my progress. I took a before picture but I think I’ll post that once I hit my weight loss goal. Wish me luck!
