I forgot how much I really love the Spring season. I can’t get enough of this 70 degree sun. Mother nature in all her majestic glory is doing my mind + body + soul realllllll good right now. These past few weeks have been crazy busy for me. I’ve definitely made it a point to get my work done either outside on my balcony or the outside seating section of Starbucks!
While the title can refer to an abundance of categories, I’ve really internalized this whole spring cleaning idea in regards to my closet. I am so embarrassed to admit how tragic my closet had been looking, but I finally got around to organizing it! Mind you, living down here at my brother’s crib is the first time I’ve ever had my own closet. Initially, I stayed on top of the organization, making sure not to let my threads get too out of control. This obviously took a turn for the worse. Every time I put together an outfit it’s as if Word World III has commenced in my room. Tragic.
I made it a point to get rid of anything I haven’t worn in the past couple months. I get such an emotional attachment to some items but it’s like you’ve gotta learn to let it goooooo. After riding my closet of every thing that was simply just taking up space, I separated each article of clothing (pants, jeans, leggings, tops, etc.) and I took a further step by organizing by color. It wasn’t a huge task but it was definitely long overdue.
I can happily admit that my closet is summer ready and I’m already anxious to spend funds I absolutely do not have on some new wedges, sundresses, and jerseys of course. Even yesterday I copped a pair of BCBG wire frame sunglasses from Nordstrom Rack for $40! I’m always here for a good deal. My cheap ass.
